What Rise is
Rise is a free course scheduling tool for students at The University of Texas at Dallas. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by UTD.
Using Rise
Rise is free to use. You don't need an account to build schedules. An account is required only for seat alert features.
When you use the scheduler without signing in, Rise may send a browser-stored anonymous identifier and course-related events to our servers so we can measure demand (e.g. popular courses), keep data fresh, and improve the tool. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You agree to use Rise for its intended purpose — planning your academic schedule. You agree not to attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or abuse Rise's API or infrastructure.
Data accuracy
Rise pulls course data, seat counts, grade distributions, and professor ratings from publicly available sources including UTD Coursebook and RateMyProfessors. We work to keep this data current but we cannot guarantee its accuracy at all times. Always verify enrollment information directly through UTD's official systems before making registration decisions.
Seat alerts
Seat alerts are provided as a best-effort notification service. We monitor sections frequently but cannot guarantee delivery time or that a seat will still be available when you receive a notification. Rise is not responsible for missed enrollment opportunities.
No warranty
Rise is provided free of charge, as-is, without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it running but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, especially during peak registration periods.
Limitation of liability
Rise is not liable for any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including missed course enrollments or scheduling errors.
Intellectual property
The Rise name, logo, and product are owned by Rise. Grade data, RMP ratings, and course information belong to their respective sources.
Changes
We may update these terms as Rise evolves. Continued use of Rise after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
